Unlocking TallyPrime with AiSockt

Introduction

TallyPrime already contains the accounting information businesses need. The challenge is getting that information to the right person quickly. AiSockt adds a conversational layer over that data, allowing business users to ask questions instead of navigating reports manually.

The Problem

A question such as "What were our sales in July compared with June?" can require opening TallyPrime, locating the right report, selecting the correct period, checking the figures and then sharing the result. The accounting data is already available; the bottleneck is accessing and communicating it.

How AiSockt Changes the Interaction

With AiSockt, the question becomes the interface. A user can ask a business question in natural language, and AiSockt can use the TallyPrime connector to retrieve the relevant information. TallyPrime remains the system of record; AiSockt makes the information inside it easier for the wider business to access.

What Users Can Ask AiSockt

  • "What were our sales in July versus June?"

  • "Which customers have invoices overdue by more than 60 days?"

  • "Show me the movement in this ledger group for the last quarter."

  • "Give me the outstanding receivables by customer."

Where AiSockt Adds Value

  • Period-specific sales, purchase and expense comparisons.

  • Receivables and payables aging and outstanding-balance visibility.

  • Ledger and group-level summaries with supporting detail.

  • GST-relevant transaction extracts, with human review for filing decisions.

  • Faster answers for non-finance users without repeatedly interrupting the finance team.

Why Accuracy Still Matters

Accounting questions are period-sensitive. A cumulative year-to-date figure can look perfectly reasonable when the user actually asked for one month. A AiSockt-TallyPrime workflow should therefore use explicit date boundaries and validate important outputs against the corresponding TallyPrime report. Speed matters, but the answer must also be the right answer.

A Practical AiSockt Approach

  • Start with read-only access and the questions users ask most often.

  • Use explicit date ranges for period-dependent queries.

  • Validate connector outputs against native TallyPrime reports.

  • Keep human review for filings, payments and external commitments.

  • Expand based on real business questions rather than exposing every function at once.

The Bigger Picture

TallyPrime does not need to be replaced to become more accessible. AiSockt can sit alongside it, retrieve the relevant live business information and turn it into an understandable answer. The ledger stops being a place employees have to visit for every question and becomes a business data source they can reach through AiSockt.
